College Head of Sports Jobs Requirements:
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Sports Management and/or a related field
- Must have at least 5 years experience in sports education/management and be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in several sporting codes
- Coaching experience in various sporting codes would be advantageous, but not essential
- Demonstrate some financial acumen through the careful administration of the sports budget
- Function as a contributing member of the Management Committee
- Be willing to tour with teams and arrange tours for various sporting codes
- Be an enthusiastic contributor to sports education, tours, and the broader school programme
- Manage a department of extramural coaches
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in several sporting codes
- Maintain a professional stance in keeping up with the latest coaching trends
- Motivate staff and initiate staff development
- Record and report on sporting codes and boys’ progress
- Have good people skills and be able to work positively with boys and parents around sports issues
- Market and arrange specific sports functions for the school
- Represent the school at the area and district sports management or coaching levels
- Have excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
- Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School
