To get proof of payment on the Capitec Bank mobile app, follow the steps below as explained by the bank on Twitter recently:
- Log in to the app on your cellphone.
- Go to Transact.
- Select Beneficiary.
- Click on the menu (3 dots in the right-hand corner of the screen).
- Select History.
- Select transaction.
- Select: Resend Payment Notification.
And voila, you will be able to send the recipient the proof of payment, which is often in PDF, right from the app.
Make sure you have the recipient’s email address. Alternatively, you can send the document to yourself (your own email) and then forward it once you get the email address you need.
What if the proof isn’t available on the app?
A Capitec Bank customer recently inquired on Twitter how to get the proof when it is not showing on the app. The bank responded, “You may visit your nearest branch for assistance.”
This often happens when you have made an online purchase. “Only beneficiary proof of payments can be done on the app or internet banking. For online purchases it is not possible,” the bank explained.
It, therefore, advised customers in such a situation to call 0860102043 for their Client Care Team to look into the matter or to visit a branch.

To download the proof of payment, you can first send it to your email address from the Capitec Bank app as shown above. Next, log in to your email and open the message from Capitec.
Scroll down until you see the PDF attachment. Click on the attachment to download it from your device, whether it’s your cellphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
Some recipients, especially companies, may require a printed copy of the proof of payment. The downloaded document is easy to print and therefore handy in such situations.
