How to Apply for Indeed Cape Town Job Vacancy

Requirements:

  • Relevant B degree
  • Minimum two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing large databases
  • Extensive knowledge of the Municipal Property Rates Act and City’s Rates Policy
  • Advanced MS Office Applications used to analyze big datasets e.g. MS Excel and MS Access
  • A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence to travel locally and attend meetings as and when required
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills as ongoing interaction with communities on a technical level is essential
  • Must be willing to travel locally to attend meetings at all hours
  • Must be willing to address communities in any area.

Key performance areas:

  • Assist with and drive components in the City Improvement District establishment process to ensure legal compliance by reviewing proposed boundaries, business plans and preparing property databases to determine the level of support required per category of property
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements are complied with after Council approval in order for the City to start paying the newly approved City Improvement Districts
  • Assist with amending an existing City Improvement District’s boundary in terms of the legislative framework to ensure compliance
  • Maintain an updated City Improvement District property database for all existing CID’s to facilitate precise financial modelling and accurate billing
  • Extract and purify property databases for communities pursuing City Improvement District establishment and/or renewal of term
  • Attend to administrative and reporting duties that apply to the post
