  • Social Relief of Distress ﴾SRD﴿ grant, also known as the R350 grant, is a critical relief measure available to unemployed people between the ages of 18 and 59 years old living in South Africa.

You can apply for the R350 grant by submitting an application to the South African Social Security Agency ﴾SASSA﴿. Your application will be considered and will be provided with a decision.

The decision of the SASSA is the final decision. However, if you are not satisfied with the decision, you may approach the High Court for judicial review. This must be done within a period of 180 days.
